Introducing The Clean Habit, a series where we share the stories of real people living real,
clean lives. Our hope is that by highlighting these intentional journeys, we can all find a
bit of inspiration to emulate in our own daily rituals.

We couldn’t think of a better way to begin than with Corazon Alonso, known affectionately to many as "Tita Bing." The For Keeps Team recently spent nearly a week at her sanctuary, Pannzian, a farm-to-table resort where clean living isn't just a concept, but a practice.

Maria Corazon Alonso ("Tita Bing")
is the visionary founder of Pannzian, a sanctuary dedicated to clean living and the beauty of simplicity. By championing a connection-first philosophy and honest agricultural practices, she encourages guests to rediscover the joy of real, uninterrupted human connection.

At the heart of her mission is a commitment to community and farm-to-table nourishment that honors the land. Her approach goes to show that life is most rewarding when we slow down to enjoy nature in its purest form.

Your sanctuary, Pannzian is known for its "No WiFi, weak data" approach. How does this help cultivate a "cleaner" mental state?

Because of digital detox, the cycle of constant notifications and distractions is stopped, allowing you to be mindful of your beautiful surroundings.

You are encouraged to do activities like swimming in the beach and river, walking to the farm trails, and waking up early to catch the gorgeous sunrise.

The best part is you begin to socialize offline. Real and uninterrupted conversations with other people happen! Something that is now hard to have in our present digital world!

How can one incorporate ‘slow, clean living’ into their own routines?

Mindful Moments. Take deep breaths, notice surroundings.

Unplug. Set aside phone-free time daily.

Walk Slow. Take intentional walks, observe city details.

Savor. Enjoy local food, coffee, or drinks.

Prioritize. Focus on what is truly important.

Breathe. Find green spaces for a breather.

Limit Commitments. Don’t overbook yourself. Haha!

Connect. Meet friends, have conversations without cellphones!

Create memories. Take photos and look back at them.

What is one “clean habit” you practice that keeps you grounded?

Every morning, the first thing I do is say a prayer of gratitude that I am given another day. Life becomes meaningful and rewarding because of the struggles that one has to overcome; they give way to the successes and joy of living. I also enjoy short walks to the gardens and farm, it gives me the ultimate high and inspiration to keep the resort sustainable for keeps.

How does farm-to-table dining actually contribute to wellness and clean living?

Mindful eating with food sources develops good eating habits. Our produce is picked at peak ripeness, maximizing nutrients, because the less time from farm to table means more nutrients preserved. It supports the local economy, supporting not just the resort, but also farmers from our community.

With better nutrition, fresh foods support overall health, as less processed foods means fewer additives.
